Things have been rather busy at Reflex Films! A short quiet period during the summer holidays has allowed us to spend some time finally getting the website online!

On the site you'll of course get a picture of what we do as a company, and a means in which to get in touch. We'll also be adding an equipment rental inventory, and we'll be using this space to showcase examples of some of the work we carry out.

Over the next few weeks we'll be continuing to develop and update the site, so expect to see more content added very soon.

Over the past weekend we provided IMAG and Recording for The Brit Fest, a 4 day Music Festival in the gorgeous setting of Ashley, Cheshire. For this, we supplied a package consisting of 2x manned Canon C300 III camcorders, which we coupled with CJ14 & CJ45 broadcast lenses. To capture additional angles on stage as well as a wide of the stage, we used 2x Canon CR-N500 PTZs and a Blackmagic Micro Studio G2 camera with wide angle lens.

We were able to successfully debut two new systems for this festival, the first being our BroadcastGear SMPTE fibre system, which allow us to combine and extend bi-directional signals far beyond the distance limitations of SDI & Ethernet, all down a single armoured cable! All fibre signals fed back to our backstage production vehicle where the show was directed live to the large LED screens.

The second system is our 50ft track and dolly which we deployed in front of the stage to create smooth and cinematic moving shots. Having the camera free to move along the stage in a controlled and stable manner allowed us to dynamically follow artists and solos from a variety of angles rather than from a single fixed camera position.
